Twentieth anniversary since acquisition of Ginetta<\/h2>\n

The Akula is unlike any other car Ginetta has produced in the company’s 66-year history.
\nThe Akula marks the 20th anniversary since Dr. Lawrence Tomlinson took over Ginetta.
\nGinetta is producing only 20 examples. <\/p>\n

Two-door coupe supercar<\/h2>\n

The Akula’s motorsport DNA is obvious at a glance.
\nThe two-door coupe supercar features an ultra-strong lightweight carbon monocoque with carbon front and rear subframes.
\nA steel motorsport roll cage from Ginetta adds even more rigidity. <\/p>\n

Aerodynamics<\/h2>\n

The Akula’s wind tunnel-tested aerodynamic package is derived from the Ginetta G61-LT-P1 LMP1 race car.
\nThe combination of a carbon-fiber flat floor with a front splitter, swivel vanes, rear wing and rear diffuser minimizes air turbulence and produces high levels of downforce. <\/p>\n

\"Ginetta<\/figure>\n

6.4-liter atmospheric V8 engine<\/h2>\n

The weight of the Ginetta Akula comes out to just 1,190 kilograms.
\nA 6.4-liter atmospheric V8 engine provides appealing performance.
\nThe V8 is based on an aluminum block and has a titanium valve mechanism.
\nThe V8 delivers 441 kW (600 hp) at 7,200 rpm and 670 Nm of torque at 5,100 rpm.
\nAll that power results in a 0-100 time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 300 km\/h.
\nThe placement of the V8 engine in the center of the car, just behind the front axle, results in an excellent 50:50 weight balance. <\/p>\n

Manual or automatic transmission<\/h2>\n

Customers are given a choice of a six-speed manual transmission mated to a triple-plate clutch or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
\nAll power goes to the rear axle via a limited slip differential. <\/p>\n

Optional Akula Race Pack<\/h2>\n

In ‘standard’ trim, four-cylinder calipers and ventilated 360 mm front and rear steel brake discs, coupled with an ABS system, provide braking performance.
\nIf you opt for the Akula Race Pack, you get carbon ceramic brakes for even better braking performance and protection against fading.
\nThis braking system is also lighter.
\nIn addition to the carbon ceramic brakes, the Akula Race Pack also features six-point Ginetta racing seat belts and Ginetta racing apparel, including a racing suit, boots, gloves and underwear. <\/p>\n

\"Ginetta<\/figure>\n

Nice and practical, because cup holders!<\/h2>\n

Although the Akula was designed and developed for the racetrack, it may also just hit the road and is reasonably practical.
\nWith a 100-liter fuel tank, you should be able to cover about 700 kilometers.
\nIn addition, the Akula has a luggage space of 473 liters.
\nInside, you also have a touchscreen infotainment system, a heated windshield, cup holders and an induction charger for smartphones. <\/p>\n

Price tag<\/h2>\n

What all that should cost? Priced from \u00a3275,000 (plus taxes and delivery charges), the Ginetta Akula is not cheap.
\nBut you are buying a unique car.
\nProduction is limited to 20 units.
