<\/p>\nAfter the 1980s and 1990s, things dried up a bit with Dutch motorcycle racers in the highest classes of road racing.
\nAt the time, Wil Hartog, Jack Middelburg and Boet van Dulmen were resounding names in the then 500cc king class, of which today’s MotoGP is the successor.
\nJurgen van de Goorberg did take over in the 500cc in 1997 and achieved some success.
\nJust as Wilco Zeelenberg did in the 250cc class, the predecessor of the current Moto2 class. <\/p>\n
For several years now, new racing talent has been showing up at the starting line in the top classes of global motorcycle road racing.
\nBo Bendsneyder started in Moto3 in 2016 and is currently racing in Moto2, where he currently (August 2024) ranks 23rd in the standings.
\nIn 2025, he will be joined by 19-year-old Collin Veijer, who is experiencing a lightning start in the Moto3 global road racing class, to say the least. <\/p>\n
Veijer is now in his second season in Moto3.
\nSince his debut in 2023, he has made 29 starts.
\nHe is now 4th in the final standings and has been on the podium seven times.
\nThen you definitely show yourself as a driver and do not go unnoticed.
\nConsequently, the Moto2 Red Bull KTM Ajo team had him in their sights for some time.
\nThey recently signed the contract for season 2025. <\/p>\n
Moto2 will take some getting used to for the Dutch rider.
\nThe machine is more suited to him, though.
\nVeijer is actually just a bit too big for the Moto3 racers, as you can see in pictures. <\/p>\n

The Moto2 racer suits his stature more.
\nGetting used to it will mainly be the power.
\nA Moto3 racer produces 55 hp and reaches a top speed of approximately 240 km\/h.
\nThe Moto2 racer produces 145 hp and effortlessly reaches 300 km\/h.
\nSo then you have almost three times more power in a machine that weighs very little more. <\/p>\n
Unlike the Red Bull team’s name suggests ability, the racer does not feature a KTM engine.
\nAll Moto2 racers have a 765cc Triumph engine.
\nThis brand is the supplier of the Moto2 engines until 2029.
\nThe three-cylinder can also be found in the Triumph Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition, which you can just buy in stores.
\nIncidentally, the block produces 130 hp in this. <\/p>\n
