All updated models sprint even faster than before.<br \/>\nThe Porsche Taycan and Taycan Turbo S sedans now reach 100 km\/h now in 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively, a gain of 0.6 and 0.4 seconds.<br \/>\nThere is also additional engine power.<br \/>\nThe regular Taycan now delivers 60 kW more than before, while in the Taycan Turbo S with Launch Control we are even talking about 140 kW of extra power.<br \/>\nWith Launch Control, this Taycan Turbo S now delivers 700 kW (952 hp).    <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/porsche-taycan-turbo-s-2024-review-foto41-1140x855.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan Turbo S\" class=\"wp-image-183497\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Faster charging<\/h2>\n<p>Also nice: charging times have decreased.<br \/>\nAt 800-volt fast charging stations, it is now possible to charge with up to 320 kW, 50 kW more than before.  The duration in which the new performance battery can be quickly recharged has also been increased. This means that load capacities of more than 300 kW can be held for up to five minutes. Okay, name some numbers. In the first generation Taycan, charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity took 37 minutes at 15 degrees Celsius. Under the same conditions, it now takes only 18 minutes with the new Taycan, despite the larger battery capacity. The Performance battery Plus now has a gross capacity of 105 kWh instead of 93 kWh. Good job Porsche!<br \/>\nIs there any more news?<br \/>\nSure!   The maximum recovery capacity when decelerating from high speeds has increased by more than 30 percent, from 290 to a maximum of 400 kW.  <\/p>\n<h2>Perfectly responsive suspension<\/h2>\n<p>What else has been updated?<br \/>\nAll updated Taycan models now have adaptive air suspension as standard.  The new Porsche Active Ride suspension is available as an option for the all-wheel-drive versions. How that system works is quite extraordinary.<br \/>\nThe suspension keeps the Taycan&#8217;s body stable under all conditions, even during dynamic braking, steering and acceleration maneuvers or when going over thresholds.<br \/>\nAnd at at you notice!   On a quieter ride, the system absorbs virtually every bump. The car is lifted, so to speak, to compensate for the threshold.<br \/>\nAn amazingly good feature.<br \/>\nThe system also counteracts rocking and rolling tendencies.<br \/>\nOccupants therefore experience less G-forces, reducing the chance of nausea.<br \/>\nPretty nice when you&#8217;re on the road with nearly 1,000 horsepower.    <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/porsche-taycan-turbo-s-2024-review-foto25-1140x855.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan Turbo S\" class=\"wp-image-183477\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Equipment Porsche Taycan<\/h2>\n<p>A Porsche Taycan must also, above all, offer luxury.<br \/>\nThere is no shortage of that.<br \/>\nAmbient lighting, ParkAssist with reversing camera, heated front seats, Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM), a heat pump with a new cooling system, a smartphone holder for wireless charging, the Drive Mode switch and Power Steering Plus are all now standard.   The instrument panel, central display and optional passenger display have an improved user interface with additional features.  <\/p>\n<h2>Extremely fine seating position<\/h2>\n<p>A mode switch on the steering wheel is now standard. For Taycan models with the Sport Chrono package and Performance battery Plus, there is a special push-to-pass button on the mode switch. With this, depending on the model, a boost of up to 70 kW can be summoned for ten seconds. And speaking of that steering wheel: it is incredibly comfortable in the hand.<br \/>\nAnd not only that: the Porsche Taycan has an extremely fine seating position.<br \/>\nYou sit very low and the steering wheel can also be pulled far towards you.<br \/>\nThis makes driving this EV truly sublime.<br \/>\nIn combination with the chassis that thinks with you, here is an EV that makes your mouth water, especially in this color scheme Provence, for us a new fashion color.    <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/porsche-taycan-turbo-s-2024-review-foto15-1140x855.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan Turbo S\" class=\"wp-image-183467\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Not cheap<\/h2>\n<p>The steering feel, the nice seats, the quick loading, the looks, the performance, this car is right from A to Z. Okay, sometimes the infotainment system still works a bit cumbersome.<br \/>\nBut you can get used to that.<br \/>\nAnd you also have to be able to afford this car.<br \/>\nBecause cheap it is not.<br \/>\nThe starting price of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S is 218,900 euros, but this test car even makes it to 251,000 euros.<br \/>\nHowever, you are buying a sensational EV, both in terms of looks and performance.<br \/>\nThe system power of 952 hp is of course madness, but on the other hand it is also usable power.<br \/>\nPorsche knows how to get all that power onto the road perfectly.<br \/>\nWe
