The Dutch will travel en masse to Europe, and more and more are doing so with an electric car. But which countries are the most EV-friendly? Solar panel farmer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zonneplan.nl\/blog\/op-vakantie-met-elektrische-auto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zonneplan<\/a> went through the figures from the European Alternative Fuels Observatory and came to the following conclusion: Germany and France have made great strides and are great destinations for your electric adventure. But, if you really want a carefree vacation, set sail for the Scandinavian countries. Sweden, Norway and Denmark lead the way when it comes to EV infrastructure. In these countries, you will encounter just as many fast chargers as in the Netherlands.  <\/p>\n<h2>Slovenia and Croatia<\/h2>\n<p>In addition, Slovenia and Croatia are also surprisingly good options. These countries have recently invested heavily in charging stations, allowing you to enjoy the sun and sea without stress. The route to it, via Germany and Austria, is also fine. And once in Slovenia and Croatia, charging is often no problem, although you can&#8217;t compare the charging network to France or the Scandinavian countries.<\/p>\n<p><em>Text continues below the video<\/em><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2>Where NOT to go?<\/h2>\n<p>On paper, the supply in Spain and Portugal seems fine, even comparable to the Netherlands in some regions. In Portugal, the average distance to a fast charger is even comparable to the Netherlands. But in practice, it&#8217;s a different story. Indeed, the supply of charging stations is far from evenly distributed. In Portugal you find them mainly around Lisbon and Porto, but inland and toward the south they are rather a rarity.<\/p>\n<p>Another problem is that many charging stations in Portugal and, to a slightly lesser extent, Spain hardly accept foreign charging cards. You can often charge there only with Portuguese or Spanish charge cards.
