This new technology allowed the battery of the Polestar prototype to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 10 minutes, with a consistent charging rate of 310 kW to even more than 370 kW. The 77 kWh battery pack, consisting of silicon-dominant cells, can therefore recharge 320 km of range in 10 minutes.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/682503_20240429_Polestar_x_StoreDot-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-178235\"><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/682504_20240429_Polestar_x_StoreDot-1140x808.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-178236\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Charging curve<\/h2>\n<p>This is not the first time an automaker has shown a battery with high peak power, but for now the Polestar&#8217;s battery is one of the few that can hold the high power until the battery is at 80 percent. In addition, XFC technology does not require specialized cooling systems, which would take up additional space in the vehicle. Moreover, the batteries are easy to reuse. The Polestar 5 prototype with this car does not require a special fast charger and can gulp in power from any existing DC charger.
