{"id":148114,"date":"2024-10-04T10:47:37","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T10:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/all-car-news.com\/renault-embleme-driving-1000-km-without-charging\/"},"modified":"2024-10-04T10:47:37","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T10:47:37","slug":"renault-embleme-driving-1000-km-without-charging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/all-car-news.com\/en\/renault-embleme-driving-1000-km-without-charging\/","title":{"rendered":"Renault Embl\u00e8me: driving 1,000 km without charging"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Carbon Reduction<\/h2>\n<p>With the Embl\u00e8me, Renault presents a concept car that shows how a car of the future can significantly reduce CO2 emissions.<br \/>\nThe goal is to reduce emissions by 90% over the car&#8217;s entire life cycle compared to comparable cars today.<br \/>\nThis car is part of Renault&#8217;s larger plans to be completely carbon-neutral in Europe by 2040 and globally by 2050.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"1140\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/10_Renault-Embleme-tot-90-procent-minder-CO2-uitstoot-1140x1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-186419\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Combination of batteries and hydrogen<\/h2>\n<p>The Embl\u00e8me is an all-electric car, but what makes it different is the addition of a hydrogen fuel cell.<br \/>\nFor daily driving, you use a 40 kWh battery, similar to that of other electric cars.<br \/>\nBut when you drive longer distances, such as on vacation, the hydrogen fuel cell provides additional energy.<br \/>\nThis allows you to drive up to 1,000 kilometers without a long recharge.<br \/>\nIn that case, you only need to fill up with hydrogen twice, which takes only a few minutes.    <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"1140\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/09_Renault-Embleme-tot-90-procent-minder-CO2-uitstoot-1140x1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-186420\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Attention to aerodynamics<\/h2>\n<p>The design of the Embl\u00e8me aims to make the car as efficient as possible.<br \/>\nFor example, the exterior mirrors have been replaced with cameras to reduce drag.<br \/>\nAlso, the underside of the car is completely flat.<br \/>\nThe result is a car with a low drag coefficient of 0.25.   <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"1140\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/05_Renault-Embleme-tot-90-procent-minder-CO2-uitstoot-1140x1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-186421\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Focus on sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>When designing the Embl\u00e8me, Renault paid close attention to sustainability.<br \/>\nThe car is made from recycled materials and the production process runs entirely on renewable energy.<br \/>\nThe reuse of parts was also considered.<br \/>\nWeighing 1,750 kilograms, including batteries, the Embl\u00e8me is lighter than many other electric cars.<br \/>\nThis means it consumes less energy, which in turn reduces CO2 emissions.    <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"1140\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/07_Renault-Embleme-tot-90-procent-minder-CO2-uitstoot-1140x1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-186422\"><\/figure>\n<h2>No serial model<\/h2>\n<p>For now, the Embl\u00e8me remains a concept car and gives an indication of the direction Renault intends to take in terms of emission-free mobility.<br \/>\nThe car will be shown at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.<br \/>\nAlthough it will not be on the market immediately, the Embl\u00e8me gives a good idea of how Renault thinks about environmentally friendly cars and the transition to a future with fewer emissions.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"1140\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/11_Renault-Embleme-tot-90-procent-minder-CO2-uitstoot-1140x1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-186423\"><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Carbon Reduction Renault presents with the Embl\u00e8me a concept car that shows how a car of the future can significantly&hellip;","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":148091,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[93],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-148114","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-car-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.2 -
