Ken Ram\u00edrez, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Vehicle and Hydrogen Business at Hyundai Motor Company, and Petr Novotn\u00fd, CEO of \u0160koda Group, signed the framework agreement at the Korea-Czech Business Summit in Prague.<\/p>\n
“Our cooperation with \u0160koda Group aims to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen. This contributes to the advancement of hydrogen technology and carbon neutrality in global markets, including the Czech Republic,” said Ken Ram\u00edrez.
\n“Together with \u0160koda Group, we aim to lead the fast-growing hydrogen businesses by creating positive synergies between our fuel cell technology and \u0160koda Group’s mobility products and projects.” <\/p>\n

The memorandum includes research on the adoption of hydrogen fuel cell systems and technologies as well as research on the adoption of energy-efficient solutions for mobility projects and products.
\nExploring opportunities for the hydrogen ecosystem and value chain beyond mobility is also part of the research. <\/p>\n
Both parties share the vision that hydrogen is an important pillar for a sustainable society, starting with mobility.
\nAs part of the memorandum, the parties are exploring the possibility of Hyundai sharing its fuel cell system and technology, which would help accelerate environmentally friendly mobility in the global markets where \u0160koda Group operates, including the Czech Republic. <\/p>\n
Hyundai Motor Company and \u0160koda Group are also conducting feasibility studies for fuel cell system applications for a variety of applications outside of mobility.

Hyundai Motor Group is committed to building a hydrogen company under the HTWO corporate brand for the hydrogen value chain, covering the Group’s operations and subsidiaries.
\nThis will enable each stage of the entire hydrogen value chain. <\/p>\n
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) in No\u0161ovice, operational since 2008, has an annual production capacity of 350,000 vehicles.
\nThe plant was the largest foreign investment in the Czech Republic.
