{"id":147117,"date":"2024-08-26T13:02:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T13:02:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/all-car-news.com\/charging-poles-shoot-out-of-the-ground-but-with-skewed-distribution\/"},"modified":"2024-08-26T13:02:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T13:02:51","slug":"charging-poles-shoot-out-of-the-ground-but-with-skewed-distribution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/all-car-news.com\/en\/charging-poles-shoot-out-of-the-ground-but-with-skewed-distribution\/","title":{"rendered":"Charging poles shoot out of the ground, but with skewed distribution"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Randstad<\/h2>\n<p>The Netherlands is well on its way to a covering charging network.<br \/>\nAbout 85 percent of residential areas now have a charging station within walking distance, but there are still some gaps to fill. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nu.nl\/klimaat\/6325468\/steeds-minder-zoeken-naar-openbare-laadpaal-maar-verdeling-blijft-ongelijk.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nu.nl<\/a> delved into the figures from CBS and the National Charging Infrastructure Agenda and what turns out: especially in cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, the charging station density is impressive: more than one charging station for every 100 residents.   <\/p>\n<h2>Friesland<\/h2>\n<p>Outside the Randstad you sometimes have to search for a long time to find a public charging station.<br \/>\nThe fewest charging stations can be found in the municipality of Dantumadiel in Friesland.<br \/>\nThere, 19,000 residents have to share a total of 17 charging stations.<br \/>\nAccording to the alderman of this municipality, there is little cause for concern: most residents have their own driveway and can power their EV via their own charging station.     <\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Efteling<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Zeeland municipality of Sluis scores remarkably well, with nearly 600 charging stations for just over 23,000 residents.<br \/>\nLoon op Zand, famous for the Efteling amusement park, is also doing surprisingly well with more than 500 charging stations for 24,000 residents.<br \/>\nThese places owe their high number of charging stations mainly to tourism: many of the charging stations are located at hotels, vacation parks and amusement parks.<br \/>\nUseful for visitors who want to charge their car during a day out.<br \/>\nThere are now some 160,000 (semi)public charging stations throughout the Netherlands.<br \/>\nAbout 60 were added per day last year.       <\/p>\n<p>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/na-ev-subsidie-jagen-nederlanders-nu-op-gratis-laadpaal\/\">After EV subsidy, Dutch now hunt for free charging station<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-autorai-nl wp-block-embed-autorai-nl\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Oh0QFVr0P7\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/na-ev-subsidie-jagen-nederlanders-nu-op-gratis-laadpaal\/\">After EV subsidy, Dutch now hunt for free charging station<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Randstad Netherlands is well on its way to a covering charging network.
