The Subaru Impreza 22B STI is a legendary and highly sought-after sports car, produced to mark Subaru’s 40th anniversary and to celebrate Subaru’s three consecutive victories in the World Rally Championship (WRC). This limited edition was introduced in 1998, with only 424 copies produced, making it a rare and coveted model among car enthusiasts and collectors.<\/p>\n

Powertrain<\/h2>\n

Based on the Subaru Impreza WRX, the 22B STI has numerous unique features that set it apart. Under the hood is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine, which produces about 206 kW (280) hp and 363 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a close-ratio five-speed transmission, which sends power to all four wheels via Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The 22B STI can accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in less than five seconds, which is impressive performance for its time.<\/p>\n
