<\/p>\nMoto Morini has been going strong since becoming part of China’s Zhongneng Vehicle Group. Significant investments are being made in new models, such as the xCape allroader and the Seiemmezzo naked bike. Followed by the now presented Calibro, with a design that is sure to please cruiser enthusiasts.<\/p>\n
For the 700cc Moto Morini Calibro, it is obvious that American-made motorcycles were looked at. Especially if you look at the Bagger variant and especially the handlebar mounted low windshield. The tank draws high from the low saddle with a seat height of 725 mm. The Calibro Bagger also has side cases that follow the American school in terms of shape.<\/p>\n

Moto Morini incidentally claims sporty handling (as far as necessary and possible) due to a rigid steel double-cradle frame and a low weight of the Calibro of about 200 kg. The two-cylinder parallel twin measures a displacement of 693 cc. The block produces 69 hp of power and 68 Nm of torque. 175 km\/h is the top speed and that is actually more than enough, because on a cruiser, high speeds cannot be sustained for long anyway. Although, the Calibro Bagger’s high handlebar fairing might keep you out of the wind quite amazingly well.<\/p>\n

The Moto Morini Calibro was designed at the Italian Style Center in Trivolzio. The engine comes in Standard and Bagger versions. The latter has 19-liter plastic side cases and a so-called “batwing” windshield. The metal 15-liter gas tank and full LED headlight immediately stand out as Moto Morini design features.<\/p>\n

The parallel twin drives the rear wheel via a toothed belt. This is not only user-friendly to maintain, but also reduces mechanical noise and provides extra smoothness while driving. The braking system consists of a 320 mm front disc with two-piston caliper. At the rear, a 255 mm disc is mounted with single piston in the caliper. Furthermore, the Calibro has 18-inch front and 16-inch rear tubeless alloy wheels. Suspension is provided by a classic front fork and stereo shock absorbers at the rear.<\/p>\n
The Calibro Standard is available in 2 colors: Fire Red and Shark Grey. The Calibro Bagger is available in the color Quartz Black. The bikes also come as a 35 kW variant for A2 license holders. The Calibro will be available from the end of August for \u20ac8,699. The Bagger version costs \u20ac9,699 and is available from the end of September.<\/p>\n
