Solid radius of action<\/h2>\n

Ford is giving the E-Transit – which has been on the market since 2021 – a solid update. Customers can opt for a new, larger battery, with a capacity of 89 kWh. The new battery is good for a driving range of 402 kilometers. A heat pump is standard for the new version and heats the interior more efficiently at low temperatures, preventing a sharp drop in range in winter. According to Ford, the new battery pack makes the large van excellent for customers with high highway mileage. <\/p>\n

180 kW fast charging<\/h2>\n

The new battery variant of the Ford E-Transit can also charge significantly faster. The maximum AC charging power – which allows a bus to charge on business, at home or at a public charging station – has been doubled from 11 to 22 kW, making it possible to fully charge the battery in less than six hours. At a quick charger along the highway, the E-Transit’s large battery can handle up to 180 kW of charging power. A solid payload, then, for which an expensive electric car would not be ashamed. With a fast charger, the battery is back to 80% charge capacity in just 28 minutes.<\/p>\n

Persons Version<\/h2>\n

Customers can also choose from different lengths and types of cabs for the electric Transit. There are a total of 19 different variants. Payload ranges from 1,460 kg to 1,814 kg, depending on the type. The E-Transit will also be available as a passenger transport version, with a factory-approved conversion of the electric E-Transit into a passenger bus. The new version is designed to help cab companies, schools and local governments, for example, electrify their fleets and future-proof their operations.
