<\/a>Compact commercial vehicles: Citro\u00ebn Berlingo, Fiat Doblo, Opel Combo, Peugeot Partner<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We kick off this “mega van test” with Stellantis’ compact commercial vehicles. The Citro\u00ebn Berlingo, Fiat Doblo, Opel Combo and Peugeot Partner, have all undergone facelifts. While they have much in common technically, there are subtle differences on the exterior and interior that give each brand its own identity.<\/p>\n

For example, the Citro\u00ebn Berlingo stands out with its extra comfortable Citro\u00ebn Advanced Comfort seats (see photo below), while the Opel Combo comes standard with Intelli-Lux Matrix LED lighting, familiar from Opel’s passenger cars. The Peugeot Partner offers a futuristic i-Cockpit with a sporty steering wheel, and Fiat Doblo has versatile cargo space thanks to a fully fold flat “magic” rear seat. All models are available with a new 10-inch infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, under the skin there are few differences between the compact commercial vehicles. Just say no differences. They all use the same powertrains. For fuel, you have a choice of diesel or electricity. The electric powertrain has been upgraded and now offers a range of up to 340 kilometers thanks to a 51 kWh battery pack. We know this powertrain from passenger cars such as the Peugeot e-208 and the Opel Corsa Electric. With a fast-charging capacity of up to 100 kW, the battery can be recharged to 80% within half an hour. In colder conditions, there is no need to worry about reduced range because the commercial vehicles are equipped with a heat pump that can heat the interior quickly and effectively.<\/p>\n

Medium commercial vehicles: Citro\u00ebn Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Opel Vivaro, Fiat Scudo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Stellantis’ midsize commercial vehicles, the Citro\u00ebn Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Opel Vivaro and Fiat Scudo, have also been firmly overhauled. Again, some design elements highlight their respective brand identity. For example, the Peugeot Expert stands out with a distinctive grille, clearly inspired by the style of Peugeot’s passenger cars. The Opel has the familiar “Vizor nose” and on the Citro\u00ebn flaunts the brand’s all-new logo. These models also all benefit from a new, optional digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment screen compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Automotive. <\/p>\n

Diesel is still possible, but even with these mid-size commercial vehicles you can get around town emission-free. In fact, the electric powertrain from the compact models we just discussed is also in the Jumpy, Expert, Vivaro and Scudo. So 51 kWh and a 136-hp electric motor. However, you can also opt for a larger battery pack, with 75 kWh capacity, good for a driving range of 350 kilometers. <\/p>\n

Large Commercial Vehicles: Citro\u00ebn Jumper, Opel Movano, Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For those who need more cargo space and power, Stellantis’ large commercial vehicles, the Citro\u00ebn Jumper, Opel Movano, Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato, offer the ideal solution. Diesel can be had with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder, good for 120, 140 or 180 horsepower. The payload is then at two tons. <\/p>\n

Afraid that soon you won’t be able to get downtown with a diesel? Then again, you can opt for an electric version. The electric buses may carry up to 1,385 pounds in the rear and offer up to 17 cubic meters of cargo volume. In the bottom of the electric Jumper, Movano, Boxer and Ducato is a huge battery pack, with 110 kWh capacity. As a result, these big guys have the greatest driving range of all Stellantis electric utility vehicles. Only after 420 kilometers did the power run out. <\/p>\n

If you’re on the highway a lot, the party ends at about 300 to 350 kilometers. If you don’t often venture outside the city walls, you could easily reach 500 kilometers or more on a battery charge. Of course, it depends on your driving habits, speed, load and weather conditions. Quick to suffer from range anxiety? Starting in 2025, you can also get the big buses with a hydrogen powertrain. The range is then 500 kilometers and within 5 minutes the tank is full again.<\/p>\n

The interior once again includes a new digital instrument cluster and a new infotainment screen. As in all the vehicles we tested, you’ll encounter several USB charging points, as well as cup holders and plenty of storage space. The exterior design is more consistent with these large buses. Only the grille is designed differently. All models benefit from advanced technologies, such as Level 2 autonomous driving and wireless connectivity for fleet management. That way, as a fleet owner, you can see from the comfort of your office chair exactly which bus can use a loading or refueling service and which one needs to stop by the garage for an oil change.
