It seemed only a matter of time. Nissan will sooner or later unleash its motorsports division – NISMO – on a production model. Now it is the Ariya’s turn. In Tokyo, Nissan proudly unveiled the Ariya NISMO. The extra sporty model is equipped with a modified chassis, and both the exterior and interior have been taken in hand. <\/p>\n

B6 e-4ORCE <\/h2>\n

Two versions will be available: the B6 e-4ORCE and the B9 e-4ORCE. Both use – the name says it all – Nissan’s e-4ORCE technology, with two electric motors providing all-wheel drive and torque vectoring. In the B6 e-4ORCE, the electric motors provide 367 hp and 560 Nm. Power they get from a 66 kWh battery pack. This appears to be the basic battery offered by Nissan in the Ariya, but enlarged by 3 kWh.<\/p>\n

B9 e-4ORCE <\/h2>\n

The B9 e-4ORCE is the top version and boasts 437 hp and 600 Nm. In the bottom is a 91 kWh battery pack. Again, this appears to be a larger battery pack than Nissan normally provides in the Ariya<\/a>. In fact, the largest battery pack you can currently get features 87 kWh. Sprint times and range figures Nissan is not yet releasing. According to the brand, the models feature about 10 percent higher peak power and new driving modes. <\/p>\n

NISMO sauce<\/h2>\n

Of course, the ARIYA Nismo<\/a> features a lot of eye-catching aerodynamic elements, such as additional spoiler work, air vents and a solid diffuser. The chassis has been addressed and should provide better stability and cornering behavior, as well as better lining and cornering at high speeds. An NISMO sauce has also been poured over the interior, with lots of red accents. The NISMO electric model will be launched in Japan in the spring. Whether and when it will come to Europe is not yet known. <\/p>\n
