Back in 2012, the two French companies developed tires together for the A110. Now there is special rubber for the A290, Alpine&#8217;s upcoming compact electric sports car. They are easily identified by a unique marking. The A290 comes with three different, marked tires for 19-inch rims:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV: a sporty summer tire with optimized efficiency, high grip, long life and for optimal range.<\/li>\n<li>The MICHELIN Pilot Sport S5: the sportiest summer tire, designed to utilize the full potential of the A290 on both dry and wet surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>The MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 5: a high-grip winter tire for varied winter conditions, especially cold and inclement weather and wet and snowy surfaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/alpine-a290-3-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-171942\"><figcaption> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Collaboration<\/h2>\n<p>The collaboration that exists today between Alpine and Michelin builds on a long tradition that dates back to the 1960s, when Michelin was committed to developing radial technology that revolutionized the world of tires. Providing tires for Alpine Formula 3 race cars with adjustable suspension helped refine the concept, as did eliminating grip loss at high speeds that hampered the work of Michelin engineers.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/alpine-a290-1-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-171943\"><\/figure>\n<p>The two companies have always worked closely together ever since, both in motorsport and for production cars. After all, it was with Alpine that Michelin introduced the first slicks to motor racing, at the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans. The idea was immediately adopted in Formula One.
