Field tests Range Rover Electric<\/h2>\n

In Sweden, the new Range Rover Electric is being tested in freezing temperatures as low as -40\u00b0 C and in Dubai in sweltering temperatures as high as +50\u00b0 C. The manufacturer is doing this to investigate and determine whether things like the electric drivetrain, chassis and battery pack are up to everyday conditions.<\/p>\n

Reservations can already be made<\/h2>\n

Effective immediately, it is possible to sign up for placement on a waiting list, in order to soon be among the first to place an order for the new Range Rover Electric, even before the order books officially open. Prices are not yet known and technical details are also still scarce.<\/p>\n

800V architecture<\/h2>\n

What do we already know? The Range Rover Electric can drive through 85 cm deep water, gets Active Noise Cancellation technology and features an 800V architecture for short charging times. Range Rover Electric promises system power comparable to that of its flagship Range Rover V8. The V8 version kicks it up to 452 kW (615 hp). Then you will have an idea of the performance.<\/p>\n

Range Rover Electric production<\/h2>\n

Production of the Range Rover Electric takes place in Solihull based on the flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture. So it rolls off the assembly line alongside the Mild Hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid versions. Assembly of the battery packs and electric motors will take place at the new Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n
