Claws<\/h2>\n
You can now encounter the redesigned e-2008 in the wild, but it is hard to spot. In fact, the exterior modifications are minimal. Not surprising, because why change something that is successful? The true connoisseur will recognize the updated model by a wide, new grille. On the Allure and GT versions, you get elegant vertical bars in the grille. There are also new headlights and daytime running lights made up of three LED strips, referencing the claw of the Peugeot lion.<\/p>\n\n

Luggage space Peugeot E-2008<\/h2>\n
The rear has also undergone a minor transformation with new taillights with horizontal LED strips. The Peugeot logo is gone at the back, giving way to a fully written out brand name. Luggage space is unchanged: 350 liters. Sufficient for daily errands or a few suitcases, but for a long summer vacation abroad, it’s a bit cramped. At 405 liters, the gasoline version offers a bit more space in the rear. Pulling a caravan or folding trailer is out of the question for the e-2008, and bicycles should stay at home as well. The towing capacity is 0 kilograms.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Wireless<\/h2>\n
The interior of the e-2008 exudes French luxury and technological sophistication. Especially if you choose the lavishly dressed GT version, which we are testing. A compact steering wheel with the new Peugeot logo and various controls, a standard 10-inch infotainment screen and wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay provide a seamless digital experience. Wireless charging and wireless connectivity for CarPlay and Android Auto take convenience to the next level, while the use of alcantara and carbon-look materials gives the interior a chic look. The infotainment system looks slick, but it is not the fastest we have ever encountered in a car.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n
Peugeot 2008 gasoline, diesel or electric<\/h2>\n
Under the hood of the updated Peugeot 2008, you’ll find a range of powertrain options. For fans of conventional combustion engines, there are the 1.2 PureTech gasoline engines with 100 and 130 hp, as well as a 130 hp diesel variant. For the greener end of the spectrum, a mild-hybrid powertrain with 136 hp is expected in early 2024, which should deliver fuel savings of 15 percent over the regular PureTech gasoline engine. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Electric range Peugeot e-2008<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Then, of course, there is the electric version: the e-2008. With two battery packs available, 50 kWh and 54 kWh, the Peugeot E-2008 offers a respectable range. According to WLTP figures, the 50 kWh version lets you drive up to 341 kilometers, while the 54 kWh variant is good for 402 kilometers of range. During our week of testing – during which it was considerably cold – we got about 350 to even 380 kilometers on a full battery charge. A very neat score. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Old vs. new<\/h2>\n
Important to mention is the fact that we are driving Stellantis’ new electric powertrain, which consists of the large, 54 kWh battery pack combined with a 156-hp electric motor. This powertrain is significantly more efficient than that available since the introduction of the e-2008. This “old” powertrain – which you can still get, even in the updated model – consists of a battery pack with 50 kWh capacity and an electric motor with 136 hp. This powertrain has significantly higher power consumption. Our tip: if you’re considering an e-2008, spend a little extra and choose the version with the new powertrain. By the way, both batteries are capable of up to 11 kW of home charging and 100 kW of fast charging. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
