Hyundai IONIQ 5 N: an EV for petrol heads<\/h2>\n

“With the IONIQ 5 N, Hyundai is happy to take on the challenge of welcoming petrol heads<\/em> who not only appreciate the large number of horsepower (650), but who also seek the sound and shifting behavior of a high-performance car,” Hyundai Netherlands said.<\/p>\n

New electric N models<\/h2>\n

The IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai N’s latest technological masterpiece. Hyundai N’s experience with the IONIQ 5 N will be reflected in new EVs from the brand in the future, with the strategic goal of increasing Hyundai’s overall competitiveness. The IONIQ 5 N is the first step in this strategic shift, with other new electric N models to follow.<\/p>\n

Only one version of Hyundai IONIQ 5 N<\/h2>\n

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N is available in one trim level: a full-option variant. Everything is standard on it, think 21-inch forged alloy wheels, 275\/35 R21 Pirelli P-Zero tires, gloss black plastic bumper skirts, an N rear spoiler with LED brake light and N bucket seats with illuminated N logo. Optional Vision panoramic roof can still be chosen, but not very good for the center of gravity.<\/p>\n

Performance IONIQ 5 N<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Unlike the regular IONIQ 5, which is available with a choice of two battery packs (58 kWh and 77.4 kWh), the IONIQ 5 N gets an 84 kWh battery pack. The front electric motor delivers 166 kW (226 hp) and, together with the 282 kW (383 hp) electric motor on the rear axle, accounts for a system output of 448 kW (609 hp). In N Grin Boost mode, the IONIQ 5 N squeezes out 478 kW (650 hp), which is good for a 0-100 km\/h sprint in just 3.4 seconds.<\/p>\n

The N Grin Boost feature maximizes acceleration with a power increase for 10 seconds, and N Launch Control offers three different levels of traction for the fastest possible takeoff, allowing the driver to launch the car like a professional race car. Track SOC (State of Charge) automatically calculates battery consumption per circuit round.<\/p>\n

Ten body colors<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In total, there are ten body colors, two of which are exclusive to Hyundai N: Performance Blue and Performance Blue Matte. <\/p>\n
