The X2 exudes considerably more sportiness than the X1. The design attracts more attention, especially the striking kidney grille, which has almost a hexagonal shape and is reminiscent of the grille of the new BMW XM, BMW&#8217;s powerful M-SUV. As on the XM, you can decorate the X2&#8217;s grille with the Iconic Glow option. BMW then sticks an LED strip around it, a first for this segment within BMW. This new X2 is available in eleven different metallic body colors, including Skyscraper Grey metallic, as seen on the car in the video below.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2>Wide butt<\/h2>\n<p>At the rear of the X2, the wide wheel wells and powerful shoulders stand out, with a distinctive Gurney spoiler and robust rear bumper. An M Sport package is available for all model variants, including the electric variant: the iX2.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of luggage space, the X2 offers 560 to 1,470 liters, depending on the model variant, while the BMW iX2 offers 525 to 1,400 liters of luggage space. Impressive numbers, which you wouldn&#8217;t expect from a compact SUV with a sloping roofline. The secret? BMW made the new X2 almost 20 centimeters longer than its predecessor.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/P90525197_highRes_the-first-ever-bmw-i-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167713\"><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"761\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/P90525185_highRes_the-first-ever-bmw-i-1140x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167720\"><\/figure>\n<h2>BMW iX2<\/h2>\n<p>From its introduction in March 2024, the new X2 will also be available as an all-electric variant, the BMW iX2. Technically, the iX2 is similar to the iX1. The xDrive30 is the first variant to come to our country, with two electric motors &#8211; one on the front axle and one on the rear axle &#8211; that together produce 313 hp and nearly 500 Nm of torque. This translates into fine performance, with 0-100 km\/h acceleration in just 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 180 km\/h (electronically limited). The iX2 xDrive30 features a 64.8 kWh battery pack and has a driving range of up to 449 kilometers and can fast charge up to 130 kW. Home charging can be 3-phase up to 11 kW.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/P90525193_highRes_the-first-ever-bmw-i-1-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167719\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Gasoline and diesel<\/h2>\n<p>For those who prefer old-fashioned gasoline fun, the X2 M35i xDrive will be launched in March 2024, equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 hp. Remarkably, it is just a bit faster than the electric version: it sprints from 0-100 km\/h in just 5.4 seconds. In addition, there will also be an sDrive20i with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and 170 hp as well as a diesel option with 150 hp from its introduction. Later, the Germans will introduce another diesel and a less powerful iX2 with a single electric motor.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/P90525192_highRes_the-first-ever-bmw-i-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167714\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Interior<\/h2>\n<p>The interior does bear strong similarities to the <a href=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/walkaround-bwm-x1-en-ix1-2022-autorai-tv\/\">X1<\/a> and other recent BMW models. The long infotainment screen, known as the BMW Curved Display, flaunts pontifically on the dashboard. The BMW Operating System 9.0 runs smoothly on it. It&#8217;s jam-packed with features, so you&#8217;ll need a few hours before you understand exactly where everything is. The BMW X2 has a starting price of 52,340 euros for the sDrive20i Launch Edition. The iX2 xDrive30 starts at 59,350 euros.
