It used the plug-in hybrid DS 7 E-Tense 4\u00d74 300 as a base and was lengthened by about 20 centimeters. The enthusiasm surrounding the DS 7 \u00c9lys\u00e9e paved the way for the development of a small series of armored versions.<\/p>\n<h2>Fortifications<\/h2>\n<p>The Vauban is the result of a renewed collaboration between DS Automobiles and WELP Group. The model will be assembled by WELP France in H\u00e9rimoncourt, where the company has taken over part of a former Stellantis site. The name of the DS 7 Vauban refers to S\u00e9bastien Le Prestre de Vauban, who built a large number of fortifications in France around the end of the 17th century, 12 of which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"721\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/DS-7-vauban-1-1140x721.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167576\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Aramid<\/h2>\n<p>The DS 7 Vauban is a driving fortress specifically designed as a secure car based on the DS 7 E-Tense 4\u00d74 300. The model is reinforced with lightweight materials, such as aramid, that are exceptionally resistant to impact and heat. To meet the VPAM 4 protection level, the Vauban is also equipped with safety glass.  <\/p>\n<h2>Flag holders and fire extinguishers<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to all the additional accessories listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/da_t-S9gL34?si=suNGR9fC7hnLVTyH\">DS 7 brochure<\/a>, specific options in the areas of safety, protection, comfort and personalization are available upon request, such as automatic fire extinguishers, a sealed ventilation system, siren, intercom, additional USB ports and reading lights, and options for personalized body colors, interior trim, stitching and flag holders.
