Through the challenging ice on the Arctic Ocean, melting Canadian ice roads and the varied landscape of North and Central America, they arrived in Quito, a city just below the equator in Ecuador.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/01-Elektrische-Pole-to-Pole-expeditie-passeert-de-evenaar-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-166993\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Ultimate test<\/h2>\n<p>The Pole to Pole expedition is the ultimate test for an electric car, aiming to accelerate the transition to electric driving and bring attention to positive actions by people, communities and projects along the route. Looking back on their adventures in the northern hemisphere, Julie says, &#8220;It&#8217;s been an incredible experience so far. Our Expedition Ariya is attracting the attention of a lot of people. We had the privilege of being hosted by the most friendly and fascinating people. All of them embrace the positivity and hope that the Pole to Pole expedition stands for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/03-Elektrische-Pole-to-Pole-expeditie-passeert-de-evenaar-1140x855.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-166994\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Antarctica  <\/h2>\n<p>Chris also shares his thoughts on the journey, &#8220;I wanted to push the boundaries of electric cars and show the world what they can do and how much fun they are. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CQXYw5hpFlo?si=_9zfh-TP34E-SjUZ\">Nissan Ariya<\/a> is doing great. He has not let us down for a moment and attracts a lot of people&#8217;s attention along the way. It gives me confidence that we can complete this expedition successfully, despite the challenging distances, roads and temperatures we will face in the southern hemisphere. Antarctica will be our toughest test of the trip, but we have the experience of our trip in the Arctic.
