August sales figures<\/h2>\n

In the month of August, 26,969 new cars were registered in the Netherlands, down from last month when 28,687 new cars hit the road. Which car brands perform well in the Netherlands? Tesla leads the list and has once again delivered a significant amount of cars, possibly by ship or via a long freight train from its Gigafactory in Berlin. In August, 1,228 units of the Model Y found a new owner in the Netherlands. In addition, 749 Dutch people chose to purchase the old model of the Model 3 just weeks before the introduction of the updated model. A firm price cut will have played a role in that.<\/p>\n

Stellantis<\/h2>\n

The brands under the Stellantis umbrella, such as Peugeot, Opel and Fiat, are also performing extremely well in terms of electric cars in our country. In both August and throughout 2023, sales registrations of battery-electric passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) made Stellantis the market leader.
