F-Type V8<\/h2>\n

Jaguar recorded the sound of the F-Type V8 in a studio, allowing people to continue to enjoy the distinctive sound of Jaguar’s last internal combustion engine sports car for many generations to come. The British manufacturer recorded the sound of the F-TYPE in the semi-echoic chamber at the Engineering Centre in Gaydon. In this soundproof room, Jaguar develops and tests the refinement and sound quality of its models. Similarly, the F-TYPE’s exhaust sound was originally developed here. A Ligurian Satin Black F-TYPE R 75 Coupe performed a number of gear changes and accelerations for the 30- and 47-second audio tracks.<\/p>\n

75 years of sports cars<\/h2>\n

For the sound recordings, Jaguar chose an F-TYPE R 75 Coupe from model year 2024 – the special edition celebrating the final model year of the F-TYPE and Jaguar’s 75 years of producing sports cars. The 5.0-liter V8 Supercharged, which Jaguar offers exclusively in combination with all-wheel drive, produces 423 kW (575 hp) of power and 700 Nm of torque. With that, the car accelerates from 0-100 km\/h in just 3.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 300 km\/h.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The 30- and 47-second sound recordings begin with the engine starting, immediately recognizable by the “flare” as the rpm rises equally rapidly. Then the engine comes to rest at an idle speed of 600 rpm. Then the runs in the sound room simulate the F-TYPE’s diverse vocal capabilities.
