MINI Electric<\/h2>\n
The MINI Electric (MINI Cooper SE) – introduced in 2020 – posted worldwide sales growth of as much as 25.5 percent in 2022 over the previous year. This makes it by far the most popular MINI model. More than 43,000 units of this electric MINI have already been sold worldwide. One in five newly sold MINI models is now electric-powered. In the Netherlands, it is even one in four.<\/p>\n
Fifth-generation MINI<\/h2>\n
MINI is now preparing for the arrival of the fifth-generation MINI, which will be all-electric. There will be two power variants. The MINI Cooper E gets an output of 135 kW (184 hp). The MINI Cooper SE even kicks it up to 160 kW (218 hp).<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Up to 54.2 kWh<\/h2>\n
The lithium-ion high-voltage battery is integrated into the floor for optimal handling and weight distribution. There is a difference in the size of the battery pack, though. The battery capacity of the MINI Cooper E is 40.7 kWh and that of the MINI Cooper SE is 54.2 kWh. This gives the new models a range of 300 to 400 kilometers, respectively, based on the WLTP test cycle. “The range is thus significantly increased, making the models suitable for trips well beyond the city,” MINI said.<\/p>\n
More electric MINIs<\/h2>\n
Along with the new electric MINI Countryman, which will be produced from November 2023 at the BMW Group Factory Leipzig, the new electric MINI Cooper rolls out the carpet for an all-electric future of MINI. Thereby, the new MINI Aceman completes the new MINI family from the end of 2024.<\/p>\n
