Barnfind in the Netherlands<\/h2>\n

Gallery Aaldering plans to auction this massive collection in partnership with Classic Car Auctions. The collection includes a Lancia Aurelia Spider, a Mercedes-Benz 300S Roadster, an Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ and even several Facel Vega cars.<\/p>\n

Mr. Palmen<\/h2>\n

But what exactly is the story behind this collection? Gallery Aaldering: “Mr. Palmen began collecting exceptional classic cars some forty years ago and housed them in three different locations, two properties and a church. The cars were stored in good condition and stood the test of time very well. The collection was seen by almost no one.”<\/p>\n

Mr. Palmen had a solitary existence, with no real family or friends. He reportedly owned an auto parts store as well as a carpentry shop. That he was a great car enthusiast is clear by now. He developed health problems and unfortunately could no longer manage his property. Then he was put under guardianship and a judge ruled that he had to sell all his assets. A Chevrolet Corvette C3 was his latest addition to the collection.<\/p>\n

Industrial Park<\/h2>\n

Salient detail: even neighbors in the industrial area had no idea what was inside: “We have been in this location for about 15 years and have regularly asked the owner if we could look inside, but it never came to a viewing.”<\/p>\n

Circumstances prevented Mr. Palmen from keeping his collection. Gallery Aaldering recently became the owner of one of the largest barnfind collections in the world in recent years.<\/p>\n

Dordrecht<\/h2>\n

Gallery Aaldering says the collection is located in Dordrecht, which now houses the cars of the distinctive church and the second building, so the entire collection is now under one roof.<\/p>\n

Gallery Aaldering will sell the collection through a major international online auction. “This barnfind collection is truly a unique opportunity for car enthusiasts and collectors around the world to expand their collection,” said Nico & Nick Aaldering, of Gallery Aaldering. “We are very pleased to auction these cars through Classic Car Auctions and look forward to seeing how much interest there is in this wonderful collection.”<\/p>\n

Various classic cars<\/h2>\n

Bidding will soon be open on a variety of classic cars from Maserati, Lancia, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Aston Martin, BMW, Facel Vega and many more. “It is unlikely that anyone will ever see a collection of this caliber and in this condition again during their lifetime,” Gallery Aaldering said.<\/p>\n
