The model was declared the winner by a jury of 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries. The Korean competed against the Mazda CX-60, Kia Niro, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Nissan Ariya, Alfa Romeo Tonale and BMW 2 Series Coupe and X1.<\/p>\n<h2>Three prizes<\/h2>\n<p>But the party doesn&#8217;t end there for the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/EesT4Wx3kk0\">Ioniq 6<\/a>. The sleek EV also won the &#8220;World Electric Vehicle&#8221; and &#8220;World Car Design of the Year&#8221; categories. Last year, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 picked up the same three awards. Sister company Kia walked away with the win in the &#8220;World Performance Car&#8221; category. The lightning-fast EV6 beat the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Nissan Z, BMW M4 CSL and the Toyota GR Corolla.
