The Testarossa was also available in a version with only one exterior mirror, the Monospeccio, which gave it an even more unique appearance. The Monospeccio was one of the most sought-after versions of the Testarossa and today is a rare and valuable collector car. A real case of &#8220;they will never be made like this again.<\/p>\n<h2>Different type designations<\/h2>\n<p>The Ferrari Testarossa is also known by the names 512M and 512 TR. The biggest difference between the three models is the engine. The original Testarossa, introduced in 1984, had a 4.9-liter V12 engine producing 390 horsepower. The 512 TR, launched in 1991, had a more powerful 4.9-liter V12 engine producing 428 hp. The 512M, released in 1994 as a special edition for the race, also had a 4.9-liter V12 engine, but with an output of 440 hp.
