Deliveries from manufacturers pick up<\/h2>\n

In February 2023, 28,128 new passenger cars were registered in the Netherlands. That is a 23.8 percent increase from the same month in 2022. “After two months into 2023, we can conclude that in terms of new car sales, there is light at the end of the tunnel again, as we expected for this year. It is clear to see that deliveries from manufacturers have picked up. In January, the sales increase was still 6.5 percent, compared to 23.8 in February. Over the first two months of 2023, 13.5 percent more new cars were registered,” said Bovag.<\/p>\n

340,000 registrations expected by 2023<\/h2>\n

For 2023, BOVAG and RAI Association expect a total of 340,000 car registrations, an increase of 9 percent. The ultimate realization of this forecast depends largely on economic developments and consumer confidence.And, of course, delivery times should also fall sharply. <\/p>\n

  1. Kia – 2,295 registrations, 8.2% market share <\/li>\n
  2. Hyundai – (1,975\/7.0%) <\/li>\n
  3. Volkswagen – (1,820\/6.5%) <\/li>\n
  4. Ford – (1,785\/6.4%) <\/li>\n
  5. Toyota – (1,742\/6.2%) <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Hyundai is doing good business with the Tucson. That is the best-selling Hyundai in February 2023. It is also the best-selling SUV in Europe. The new all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5 and recently introduced IONIQ 6 are also running well. At Kia, the Picanto, Niro, EV6 and Sportage are runners-up. <\/p>\n

    5. Tesla Model Y – (653\/2.3%)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
