The redesigned Volkswagen Touareg is the first Volkswagen model with an illuminated logo on the back. Since January 2023, this red-lit emblem has also been allowed in Europe, after previously being reserved only for countries such as China and the United States.<\/p>\n<h2>Adjustments to Touareg<\/h2>\n<p>The Touareg also gets a redesigned front and rear end and newly developed IQ.Light HD matrix headlights with new continuous LED light strips between them. Here, HD stands for High Definition, or a beam of light with very high resolution, thanks to a total of 38,400 micro LEDs. The matrix system projects an interactive beam of light &#8211; the so-called &#8220;lane light&#8221; &#8211; that makes driving in the dark past road works on the highway, for example, much more comfortable and easy.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/volkswagentouareg-gecamoufleerd-header1-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"Volkswagen Touareg\" class=\"wp-image-151341\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Other updates<\/h2>\n<p>The SUV also gets an improved chassis. Thus, the model now has a roof load sensor, which interacts with the chassis electronics. This makes the car extra maneuverable when the roof is not loaded. In contrast, when a roof box is mounted, the sensor recognizes it and then relays that input to assistance systems such as the ESC for added driving stability. The lower&#8217;s standard steel springs and optional twin-chamber air suspension also received a new adjustment.<\/p>\n<h2>Innovision Cockpit<\/h2>\n<p>The Touareg will now feature an updated version of the &#8220;Innovision Cockpit. New features in it include lane-specific navigation and high-resolution HD map data. Voice control has also been advanced. Moreover, app integration between the smartphone and &#8220;App Connect&#8221; (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto) is now also possible wirelessly.<\/p>\n<h2>Volkswagen Touareg also coming to the Netherlands<\/h2>\n<p>This summer, the updated Volkswagen Touareg &#8211; which will also be available in the Netherlands &#8211; will have its world premiere. So the Touareg returns to the Dutch market. In fact, the SUV was not available on Dutch soil for some time. The Touareg shares its engineering base with the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7\/Q8, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne. About powertrains, Volkswagen is not yet making any statements.
