Bugatti Chiron Profil\u00e9e unique piece of Bugatti history<\/h2>\n

The Bugatti Chiron Profil\u00e9e is a unique car. Indeed, the new owner of the Profil\u00e9e will not only get his hands on a unique piece of Bugatti history, but also the very last new Bugatti with a W16 engine.<\/p>\n

A one-off<\/h2>\n

The Profil\u00e9e is absolutely unique. Only one exists. A one-off, in other words. But how exactly did this implementation come about? Time for a lesson in Chiron history. During the production of the Chiron, customers showed interest in a car that was slightly “less radical” than the Chiron Pur Sport. Bugatti listened to customer feedback and began developing a version of the Chiron to fill this gap between the Pur Sport and Chiron Super Sport. <\/p>\n

Engineers began work on a version that was a bit closer to the original Chiron’s elegant innards, but with the handling characteristics of a Chiron Pur Sport. The solution was a Chiron with a modified rear end for better thermodynamic air flow management for more downward pressure on the rear axle. The Bugatti Chiron Profil\u00e9e was born. <\/p>\n

Problem<\/h2>\n

But here’s the thing: the Chiron was limited to 500 units. And all those cars had been sold while the Profil\u00e9e was still in development. Bugatti nevertheless completed development of the Profil\u00e9e and produced a pre-series car, despite the realization that the rest of the intended units would never be built. The only result is this Chiron Profil\u00e9e, with single type approval for Europe.<\/p>\n

Sold anyway<\/h2>\n

Because the car is unique, Bugatti decided to offer it for sale in Europe. And the brand will not regret it, because with proceeds of thus 9,792,500 euros, Bugatti has at least been able to recoup the investment. But so know that 501 cars of the Chiron were eventually sold and not 500. Who the buyer of the Profil\u00e9e is remains a secret.<\/p>\n

Features Bugatti Chiron Profiled<\/h2>\n

The hypercar features a rich, hand-crafted interior with high-quality leather. Also, this Chiron is the only one in the world with a fixed rear spoiler in ducktail design. The wheels – inspired by Bugatti’s famous horseshoe-shaped grille – were also developed specifically for the Profil\u00e9e. The color Argent Atlantique is also unique. Combined with the Bleu Royal Carbon tint, this makes for a tasteful whole.<\/p>\n

Powertrain with W16 engine<\/h2>\n

The 380 km\/h fast Bugatti Chiron Profil\u00e9e features the iconic 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbos. The 0-100 sprint takes just 2.3 seconds. From jumping from 0 to 300 mph takes you only 12.3 seconds of your life.<\/p>\n

Technical modifications<\/h2>\n

The Chiron Profil\u00e9e also received a completely new tuning of the steering and suspension for more responsive handling. The transmission was revised, with the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission receiving shorter ratios. The rev limit of the W16 engine was increased by 200 rpm to a redline of 6,900 rpm. This is to achieve the electronically limited top speed of 380 km\/h.<\/p>\n
