In January 2022, it was 30,848 cars.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although the automotive industry still faces supply problems due to global shortages of computer chips and other components, an initial recovery seems to be in sight,&#8221; RAI Association said in a comment.<\/p>\n<h2>Forecast 2023<\/h2>\n<p>About 340,000 new cars are expected to receive license plates during 2023. &#8220;That expectation is based on signals from car dealers and manufacturers that order books are well filled and deliveries are picking up,&#8221; adds RAI Association. Below is an overview of the most frequently registered trademarks in January 2023:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volkswagen (4,086 registrations with 12.4 percent market share)<\/li>\n<li>Toyota (2,369\/7.2%)<\/li>\n<li>Skoda (2,197\/6.7%)<\/li>\n<li>Kia (2,124\/6.5%)<\/li>\n<li>Peugeot (1,827\/5.6%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"715\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/autoverkoop-cijfers-1140x715.jpg\" alt=\"Car sales figures\" class=\"wp-image-148967\"><figcaption>Car sales figures<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>The 5 most popular models in January 2023<\/h2>\n<p>Much more striking is the top five most registered models in January 2023. Indeed, there the Volkswagen T-Roc is in first place with 870 registrations, followed by the Peugeot 208 (848 units) and the Volkswagen Polo (827 units).
