Skoda Enyaq RS iV<\/h2>\n

The first record \u0160koda broke was that for the “Longest continuous drift on ice. On frozen Lake Stortj\u00e4rnen, near \u00d6stersund in Sweden, driver Richard Meaden drove a four-wheel-drive, 299-horsepower Skoda Enyaq RS iV to set an official new world record by keeping the car in a controlled drift for more than 15 minutes and over a distance of 7.351 kilometers.<\/p>\n

Previous record broken<\/h2>\n

In doing so, Skoda broke the previous record of 6.231 kilometers, which was clocked in China in 2022. With this new record, Meaden and Skoda also directly set a second Guinness World Record, that for the “Longest continuous drift on ice by an electric car. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

16 minutes of continuous drifting <\/h2>\n

Skoda’s electric SUV drove over 39 laps around the 188-meter-long circular circuit, all in a time of 15 minutes and 58 seconds. The top speed during the record run was 48.69 km\/h; the lowest recorded speed was clocked at 31.64 km\/h.<\/p>\n
