This red 2005 Volkswagen Golf GTI looks quite ordinary at first glance. But he is different than you think. This is not just any Golf GTI, but a pretty unique specimen. Just look at the custom place for the driver.<\/p>\n

In this Volkswagen Golf GTI, the steering wheel is mounted not on the left and not on the right, but centrally in the middle of the dashboard. Like the aforementioned McLaren F1<\/a> and McLaren Speedtail<\/a>, you can sit in the middle of the German cockpit. Fortunately for the driver, the pedals, handbrake and steering column have also been modified.<\/p>\n

What a major renovation that must have been. Remarkably, a dashboard has been bolted to either side of the steering wheel. The exposed wiring and unfinished parts of the interior betray that this project is not yet complete.<\/p>\n
