He is not the highest paid footballer in the world, for that is Ronaldo, who rakes in some 200 million a year in Saudi Arabia. Messi, with an estimated fortune of some 400 million euros, cannot complain. He earns 34 million euros annually at his current soccer club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Luckily, because Lionel has expensive taste. Just look at what&#8217;s in his garage.  <\/p>\n<h2>Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti<\/h2>\n<p>He had to play soccer for almost a year for it: a Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti. Messi paid $30 million for this exclusive classic. A lot of money, but there is no chance that this car will ever depreciate in value. So excellent investment. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter atmospheric V12 engine, good for about 400 horsepower. Sufficient, considering that the whole car weighs less than 880 kilograms. As such, the performance is no mean feat. For example, the 1957 (!) car has a top speed of 300 mph. If <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lionel_Messi#:~:text=In%202009%2C%202010%2C%202011%2C,voetballer%20ter%20wereld%2C%20een%20record.&amp;text=In%202005%20debuteerde%20Messi%20in,een%20jaar%20later%20wereldkampioen%20werd.\">Messi<\/a> crashes the car, only three left in the world.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ferrari_335_s_spyder_8-1140x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-146066\" width=\"840\" height=\"560\"><figcaption> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Pagani Zonda Tricolore<\/h2>\n<p>Messi has never played soccer for a club in Italy, but he loves the country. At least, at least on the cars that come from there. The Ferrari 335 S is not the only exclusive Italian that sits in his garage. The Pagani Zonda Tricolore is almost as rare. It is one of the fastest and most expensive cars in the world. The extreme hypercar features a 678-hp 7.3-liter V12 from Mercedes-AMG and has a new price of 2 million euros.  &nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/pagani_zonda_tricolore_5-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-146068\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG<\/h2>\n<p>Messi was also the proud owner of a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG for a while. This German cannon sits at 100 km\/h in just 3.8 seconds thanks to a 6.2-liter V8. With a price tag of 650,000 euros, it is by no means the most expensive car from the little Argentine. It is also somewhat less exclusive than a Pagani and Ferrari. Perhaps that is why Messi has since parted ways with it. Or could it be because he lost the World Cup final to Germany in 2014? Whether he put his Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG &#8211; produced from 2009 to 2014 &#8211; up for sale immediately afterwards is not clear.
