60 years of James Bond<\/h2>\n

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the premiere of the first James Bond film, “Dr. No. Since then, the now 25 spectacular films have accounted for total cinema ticket sales of $7.8 billion. An important part of the films are the vehicles, from cars and boats to helicopters and airplanes, often used for thrilling stunts.<\/p>\n

50 original vehicles<\/h2>\n

The “Bond in Motion” exhibition is the first time that some 50 original vehicles from the James Bond films will be on display on the European continent along with spectacular sets and “making of” models. Moreover, with a total area of some 6,000 square meters, the exhibition is the largest to date. The exhibition at the Brussels Expo complex on the Heysel, directly behind the world-famous Atomium, is also easily accessible from the Netherlands, for example by Thalys.<\/p>\n

James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5<\/h2>\n

That James Bond succeeds in his missions in the movies is often due to the spectacular vehicles, equipped with all kinds of special features and conceived by technical brain ‘Q’. The Aston Martin DB5 became world-famous thanks to James Bond<\/a>, but the Lotus Esprit turning into a submarine also captured the imagination, as did BMWs, Jaguars and, again, Aston Martins in more recent films.<\/p>\n

The “Bond in Motion” exhibition in Brussels is not limited to just cars. Among others, a helicopter, a hovercraft, a subway car and a boat are part of the exhibition. Vehicles from the films with Dutch input such as “The Living Daylights” with Jeroen Krabb\u00e9, “Golden Eye” with Famke Janssen and “Tomorrow Never Dies” with Daphne Deckers are also featured.<\/p>\n

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the secrets behind famous scenes and special stunts through unique documents and objects. Interactive elements make the exhibition worthwhile for all generations. Of course, catering facilities are available and there is also a shop with exclusive items for James Bond lovers.<\/p>\n
