Well, so don&#8217;t. You would think so, but that is not the case. The Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4 X is a head smaller than the Peugeot 408. For its part, the 408 does share technology with <a href=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/review-citroen-c5-x-plug-in-hybrid-2022\/\">the Citro\u00ebn C5 X<\/a>, but that, in other words, is a larger car.<\/p>\n<h2>PHEV versus BEV<\/h2>\n<p>Another big difference: the Peugeot 408 comes only as a plug-in hybrid, while in many European countries with a well-developed market for electrified cars, such as the Netherlands, the Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4 X comes only as an electric variant. So in the Netherlands, we only get a Citro\u00ebn C4 X with a battery-electric powertrain.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"804\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Citroen-C4_X-2023-1600-06-1140x804.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-137069\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4 X<\/h2>\n<p>Is it a fastback? Is it an SUV? You can say it: at least the C4 X looks special. By now we also know what this car may cost. Drive the new Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4 X starting at 40,480 euros. For that money, you get a 100 kW (136 hp) strong electric motor, a WLTP range of up to 360 km and a luggage space of no less than 510 liters.<\/p>\n<h2>Price difference compared to Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4<\/h2>\n<p>The \u00eb-C4 and \u00eb-C4 X are technically identical. But there are some differences in pricing. The electric \u00eb-C4 starts at 32,100 euros in the Netherlands. So the \u00eb-C4 X costs considerably more with a price tag of 40,480 euros. We are talking about a difference of 8,380 euros.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"812\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Citroen-C4_X-2023-1600-0d-1140x812.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-137070\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Three levels of equipment<\/h2>\n<p>The new Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-C4 X offers a choice of the familiar Feel, Feel Pack and Shine trim levels.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Feel:<\/strong> Standard features of the Feel include three driving modes, digital instrument panel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic air conditioning with active carbon filter, extensive infotainment with 10-inch touchscreen and a comfort suspension with Citro\u00ebn Progressive Hydraulic Cushions. Active Lane Departure Warning System, Active Safety Brake with pedestrian recognition and traffic sign recognition are also standard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feel Pack<\/strong>: The Feel Pack has a starting price of 41,600 euros and adds a more luxurious finish and some comfort items.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Shine<\/strong>: Equipment level Shine is available from 44,690 euros and features include Active Safty Brake with night function, Keyless Entry &amp; Start, steering wheel heating and more luxurious upholstery. Also standard is My Citro\u00ebn Drive Plus with TomTom navigation and control via a 10-inch HD touchscreen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Production in Europe<\/h2>\n<p>Citro\u00ebn produces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citroen.nl\/modellen\/toekomstige-modellen\/nieuwe-e-c4x.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the new \u00eb-C4 X<\/a> and C4 X in Europe, at the Stellantis Villaverde plant in Madrid, Spain.
