The presentation of the electric Kawasaki took place on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The EV model – one of Kawasaki’s possible future models – was first seen in action at the 8 Hours of Suzuka. The presentation was part of an extended speech by Masaya Tsuruno, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe.<\/p>\n

Electric prototype Kawasaki<\/h2>\n

According to Tsuruno, the electric prototype forms the basis of a future electric motorcycle. For petrolheads, there is still hope: according to the top executive, internal combustion engines will remain a priority for the foreseeable future as well, especially since these engines can also be suitable for E-fuel and biofuels. Hydrogen technology is also being considered.<\/p>\n

Kawasaki Z400<\/h2>\n

Specifications of the electric Kawasaki have unfortunately not been shared. In any case, the prototype is of the naked type. The machine looks suspiciously like a Kawasaki Z400. The drive unit is particularly compact and looks clean. The “tank” is also smaller than before. Presumably the “tank” is where the charging point will be installed.<\/p>\n

More details about Kawasaki’s electric motorcycle will follow soon, as the Japanese manufacturer hopes to present at least three electric models by the end of 2022.<\/p>\n
