GR SPORT<\/h2>\n

The GR SPORT family is further expanded. In addition to the Yaris<\/a>, Corolla, C-HR and Hilux, the Yaris Cross<\/a> will also receive a special GR SPORT version. Externally, the new Yaris Cross GR SPORT stands out with new polished 18-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels. Sporty touches also include a new rear diffuser and front grille with an exclusive “hot stamp” piano black pattern and subtle GR badges. Dynamic Grey is the signature color of the GR SPORT, which is additionally available in two-tone with a contrasting black roof and stiles.<\/p>\n

Sport seats<\/h2>\n

On the interior, the front sport seats have new gray upholstery with red stitching. This red stitching is also found on the steering wheel and gear selector lever. The GR logo is prominently displayed on the front headrests, start button, instrument cluster and steering wheel, and there are GR SPORT-specific gunmetal-colored inserts in the doors and instrument panel.<\/p>\n

Dynamic performance<\/h2>\n

A lot of nice stuff, but that doesn’t make the extra sporty-looking crossover drive any sportier. Fortunately, Toyota has also tinkered with the Yaris Cross under the skin. In the GR SPORT, performance has been improved by realigning the suspension, giving the driver better steering feel and less lean. Thanks to a low center of gravity, a very stiff body and a balanced chassis, the Yaris Cross GR SPORT should handle corners nicely. The Yaris Cross GR SPORT is only available with a 116-hp hybrid powertrain and will be available for order starting this fall. The prize will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
