Kia has begun final testing of the EV9. The large and fully electric SUV, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2023, is the brand’s new flagship. The electric seven-seater is currently being tested to its limits at Kia’s R&D center in Namyang, Korea.<\/p>\n

The new Kia is on the same platform (E-GMP) as the EV6, but specifications are not yet known. What it will look like is now clear. Indeed, the Koreans have shared some photos showing a minimally camouflaged EV9 from various angles. <\/p>\n

What is striking are the similarities to the Concept EV9<\/a>, which Kia first showed the world at the AutoMobility show in Los Angeles last year. The design of the production version is also best described as “angular,” with a high square nose and robust wheel arches. The Kia EV9 will be officially unveiled in the first quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n
