More and more modern cars these days can be opened or closed (remotely) via an app on your smartphone. Some people already think this is old-fashioned and prefer to go one step further. Tesla owner Brandon Dalely has had a chip placed under the skin of his right hand, which, among other things, allows him to open his Tesla.<\/p>\n

Tesla Pass<\/h2>\n

This is because you can open a Tesla<\/a> not only with a traditional car key or the Tesla app, but also with a card. The pass looks like a credit card and must be held in front of a scanner in the b-pillar if you want to unlock a Tesla. American tech enthusiast Brandon Dalely, thanks to his implant, will now not have to put the pass, but his hand on the b-pillar, if he wants access to his car.<\/p>\n

VivoKey Apex<\/h2>\n

The chip under his skin is a product of the tech company VivoKey Apex. For 300 euros you get a chip and access to their app store, which contains all kinds of apps that you can wirelessly put on the chip. The Near Field Communication (NFC) implant will not only allow Dalely to open and start his car, but he will also be able to use it to pay for his car in the future. In addition, there is space on the chip for data storage and you can use it as a crypto wallet. <\/p>\n

Contact information<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In his left hand, he also had a chip placed. This smaller chip allows him to open the front door of his home and it contains his contact and medical information. “The whole idea was that I would have my house key in my left hand and my car key in my right hand,” Dalaly said.<\/p>\n
