Polestar 1 to 6<\/h2>\n

Polestar is making significant inroads. Right now you can get two models from Polestar, both of which do look a lot like a Volvo: the Polestar 1<\/a> and Polestar 2<\/a>. In the future, the differentiation between Polestar and Volvo will be much greater. The automaker will launch three new EVs over the next three years with an entirely unique look: two electric SUVs, the Polestar 3 and Polestar 2, and the Polestar 5. Now the Swedish automaker announces that a sixth model is coming: the Polestar… 6!<\/p>\n

Polestar 6<\/h2>\n

The Polestar 6 is an electric roadster based on a study model Polestar unveiled in Los Angeles in March: the Polestar O\u2082. Now, a few months later, the brand announces that the concept car will hit the road as a production model. <\/p>\n

884 hp<\/h2>\n

The Polestar 6 will be based on Polestar’s aluminum platform. The model – which is being developed in-house – gets the 800 Volt base already confirmed for the Polestar 5 <\/a>. That includes power up to 884 hp and 900 Nm from a dual-motor powertrain, a target acceleration of 0-100 km\/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km\/h. The car will have a range of at least 600 kilometers (WLTP).<\/p>\n

Aircraft<\/h2>\n

According to the brand, the exterior of the O\u2082 is influenced by aircraft, both aesthetically and aerodynamically. The O\u2082 has no wings or spoilers, but air intakes in the fenders and taillights that incorporate airfoils.<\/p>\n

Bonded self-supporting body<\/h2>\n

The Polestar 02 concept car has a “unibody,” a self-supporting body. Chassis and bodywork are thereby one unit. It consists of several layers of aluminum, glued together and cured in the oven. Whether the production model will make use of this is not yet clear. <\/p>\n

Limited Editions<\/h2>\n

To mark the launch, 500 numbered units of a special ‘LA Concept’ version are expected to be produced: the ‘Polestar 6 LA Concept edition’. They will be executed exclusively in the unique, blue ‘Sky’ body color, light leather interior and unique 21-inch rims from the original Polestar O\u2082 study model. The target price for this version is $200,000 (197,530 euros). The price tag of a regular Polestar 6 is not yet known. <\/p>\n

More technical data and concrete specifications will be announced ahead of the expected launch in 2026.<\/p>\n
