The electric Rolls-Royce is being tested over 2.5 million kilometers, a simulation of 400 years of practical use. A large part of these kilometers are made by the car in the south of France. Not around Montpellier or Marseille, but around the French Riviera. The C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur is the region where Rolls-Royce customers often have their second, third or fourth homes, so it&#8217;s important that the EV feels at home there, too. In total, the car will cover 625,000 test kilometers in southern France.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"761\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Rolls-Royce-Spectre-4-1140x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-126708\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Body panels  <\/h2>\n<p>Details of the powertrain remain under wraps, but Rolls-Royce is revealing more information about the car&#8217;s design. For example, the Spectre gets the largest body panels in Rolls-Royce history. Each side panel, which runs from in front of the A-pillar to behind the taillights, is nearly four feet long and consists of one piece. The styleless doors have a length of almost 1.5 meters and are the longest in Rolls-Royce history.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Rolls-Royce-Spectre-1-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-126705\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Smooth Rolls<\/h2>\n<p>So the brand is very secretive about the specifications of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rolls-Royce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rolls-Royce<\/a> EV. It is known that the Spectre is based on the same all-aluminum platform as the Phantom, Ghost and Cullinan, but thanks to the battery pack, the base of the car is considerably stiffer. The air resistance coefficient (cW) is 0.25, making the Spectre the most streamlined Rolls-Royce ever.
