Seven President<\/h2>\n

The Highlander is the big brother of the RAV4<\/a>, making it (in Europe) the largest SUV in Toyota’s lineup. Starting with the 2023 model year, the Toyota Highlander will receive a series of improvements and upgrades that will make the car even more luxurious. In addition, the Highlander can be ordered in a new color and with new alloy wheels.<\/p>\n

New multimedia system<\/h2>\n

The biggest innovations are found inside the large SUV. The latest multimedia system, called Toyota Smart Connect will also make its appearance in the Highlander starting in model year 2023. The system has more functions than the previous system. Thus, cloud-based navigation is added, with real-time information about the situation on the road. Smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is now standard. The system also uses a smart voice assistant that can not only help with navigation, but also responds to commands such as “I’m hot,” after which the air conditioning temperature is lowered. Also, the Highlander is now available with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, customizable with four themes. <\/p>\n

New color for the Highlander<\/h2>\n

Along with the model year update, the Highlander also gets a new exterior color: Cypress Green Metallic. The deep dark green color is available on all versions of the Highlander. The new color also introduces two new interior colors for the SUV: Ochre and Beige. Finally, the Highlander Premium and Business Plus versions can be ordered with high-gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels.<\/p>\n

Motorization<\/h2>\n

Under the hood, everything remains unchanged. The Highlander retains its 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with electric assist with a combined output of 248 hp and 170 Nm of torque. That is also the only engine available in the Netherlands. The V6 that is available for the Highlander in, say, America, passes us by. <\/p>\n

The first examples of the updated Highlander are expected in the Netherlands at the end of 2022. As with any Toyota, the Highlander is covered by a warranty of up to 10 years and 200,000 kilometers.<\/p>\n
