Women’s World Car of the Year<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Strange and a bit old-fashioned really, because in the Netherlands alone 75% of all women aged 17 or older have a driver’s license. There are also plenty of women who have an opinion about cars. For example, the 56-member jury<\/a> of the Women’s World Car of the Year election. It consists entirely of female motoring journalists from 40 countries on five continents. There are also two Dutch women on the jury.<\/p>\n

The criteria of the election are the same as the consumer’s requirements when choosing a new car. So it is not important whether the car is a cute ‘women’s car’. This election is also about safety, quality, price, driving characteristics and so on.<\/p>\n

Multiple rounds<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Women’s World Car of the Year has been awarded since 2009 and 65 new models were selected in 2021. The Women’s World Car of the Year election consists of two rounds. In the first round, the winner will be voted on within six categories. For example, the Kia Sportage was named the Family SUV of the Year and the Ford Mustang Mach-E the Big Car of the Year.
