Nissan Juke Hybrid<\/h2>\n

This summer you can get a Juke at Nissan that is extra economical: the Juke Hybrid. This variant is also extra powerful. So a nice combination. Until now, the Juke<\/a> was only available with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine that produces 117 hp, but the Hybrid is likely to have 140 hp. We say probably, because Nissan has not yet officially confirmed this.<\/p>\n

Well-known powertrain<\/h2>\n

These are the numbers we do know: the hybrid powertrain consists of a 94 hp 1.6-litre petrol engine and an electric motor that produces 49 hp. In addition, a 15 kW starter motor helps to get the Juke running smoothly and fully electrically. We already know this combination of engines and numbers from the powertrain in the Renault Clio e-Tech Hybrid<\/a> and Captur E-Tech Hybrid<\/a> . We therefore assume that it concerns the same powertrain, given that the two car brands work closely together. That’s good news, because during our test with the hybrid Renault Captur<\/a> and Clio<\/a> we were very pleased with the powerful and smooth powertrain.<\/p>\n

Electric driving<\/h2>\n

The Juke Hybrid does not have a plug connection, but it does have a (small) battery pack of 1.2 kWh. Yet you can drive quite a few pieces fully electric. One of the electric motors functions as a starter motor and generator. It therefore generates energy during braking. Energy that allows you to drive electrically. In addition, the petrol engine also provides power to the small battery.<\/p>\n

According to Nissan, the Juke Hybrid can drive fully electric up to 80% of the time in the city, saving you up to 40% fuel compared to a version with a conventional combustion engine. With the Juke Hybrid you always drive away electrically and you can drive up to 55 km\/h with the electric motor, before the petrol engine kicks in. Nissan provides the Juke with the e-Pedal, which we already know from the Leaf. Because the car can brake on the electric motor, you can accelerate and brake with one pedal.<\/p>\n

Exterior<\/h2>\n

The exterior has been modified on a few minor points. For example, there are Hybrid logos on the front doors and tailgate and the grille of the Juke Hybrid features the new Nissan brand logo and a high-gloss black strip against the hood edge. The grille also has a smaller opening to improve aerodynamics and can close completely if the engine needs little or no cooling. The bumpers and rear spoiler have also been slightly modified to create the lowest possible air resistance.<\/p>\n

The Juke (Hybrid and Non-Hybrid) is available with new, two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. If you want to stand out a bit more, you can also opt for aerodynamic two-tone 19-inch rims, which we already know from the Nissan Ariya.<\/p>\n

Less luggage space<\/h2>\n

Thanks to the battery pack, the durable Juke has to make do with 68 liters less luggage space. 354 liters remain. When you fold down the rear seats, the luggage space measures 1,237 liters. The legroom for the rear passengers remains unchanged at 553 mm.<\/p>\n

Nissan will announce the prices of the Nissan Juke Hybrid later in the run-up to the moment that the Juke Hybrid appears in the showroom, in the summer of 2022.<\/p>\n
