4xe \u2013 plug-in hybrid technology from Jeep<\/h2>\n

Earlier we drove the Wrangler 4xe<\/a> with the same technique. The Wrangler is one of those cars that if you had said five years ago that this off-roader would only be available as a hybrid, you would have thought you were crazy. The same actually applies to the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which we mainly know with a thick V6 and V8 engines in the front. Yet the electrification of the brand is not a bad development, because the immediately available torque is very tasty and \u2013 also not unimportant \u2013 the car suddenly becomes relatively affordable.<\/p>\n

\"Jeep<\/p>\n

Performance<\/h2>\n

The power source in the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the same as we know from the Wrangler 4xe: a 272 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors, which deliver a combined power of 380 hp and 637 Nm. No wrong numbers for the flagship Jeep. The battery pack has a capacity of 17.3 kWh and according to Jeep has an electric range of 47 kilometers. Furthermore, the Jeep has an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and three different driving modes: Hybrid, Electric and e-Save. Where in the first position the combustion engine and the electric motor work together, in the second position you drive fully electrically and in the last position you save power for a later moment.<\/p>\n

Still off road?<\/h2>\n

Jeep has an unrivaled reputation for off-road driving. But will Jeep Grand Cherokee buyers still go off-road with their car? According to Jeep, yes. They loaded the car up with off-road oriented goodies. The Quadra-Drive II 4\u00d74 drive systems, Quadra-Lift air suspension and the Selec-Terrain traction management system \u2013 which offers a choice of five driving modes: Auto, Snow, Sand\/Mud, Rock and Sport \u2013 allow the Grand Cherokee to deliver the 4\u00d7 4 capabilities of the Jeep brand retains. According to Jeep, this generation of Grand Cherokee is the most technologically advanced Jeep Grand Cherokee with the best 4\u00d74 performance ever.<\/p>\n

A step up in quality<\/h2>\n

Both the exterior and interior have become more beautiful compared to the previous Grand Cherokee. On the outside, the Jeep is especially tight, the biggest improvements can be found on the inside. What immediately stands out is the dashboard with a digital 10.1-inch display for the infotainment system. The instrumentation is a 10.3 inch display. Depending on the version in which you order the Grand Cherokee, the co-driver can also get a display of 10.25 inches. The driver and passenger seats can be electrically adjusted to 16 positions, are equipped with a memory function and also offer a massage function built into the backrest. The rear seats are also heated and ventilated. There is also a digital interior mirror and interior lighting.<\/p>\n

launch edition<\/h2>\n

If you are interested in a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, you can take advantage of Grand Cherokee 4xe as a ‘Launch Edition’. It is richly equipped, including the aforementioned things, as well as the McIntosh audio system with 19 speakers, a color head-up display, the display for the passenger, Active Driving Assist and a night camera that can detect pedestrians and bicycles. This Grand Cherokee Launch Edition<\/a> currently costs 97,900 euros. However, this price is based on emissions that have not yet been homologated. The price can therefore be even higher or lower.
