This time the car shared its platform with the later Mini Countryman and BMW X2. This means that the X1 is now in principle front-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is of course also available. New versions are an extended and hybrid version, but both remain reserved for the Chinese market.<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dutch car<\/strong><br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p>Since last year, the X1 has also been produced in the Netherlands, at Nedcar in Born. To celebrate that the X1 has become &#8216;Dutch&#8217;, BMW Netherlands introduced an Orange Edition for the car.
