It is now finally starting: the new Formula 1 season 2022 starts today in Bahrain. During the test weeks in Barcelona and Bahrain it already became clear that Mercedes and Red Bull Racing will be at the front again this season, but during qualifying on Saturday it quickly became apparent that the German stable is not yet where it wants to be. Lewis Hamilton starts the race from P5 and George Russell is only found in ninth place. Ferrari finally seems to be back in the vanguard. Charles Leclerc is on pole position and teammate Carlos Sainz clocked the third fastest time. What time does the Bahrain 2022 Grand Prix start?
The Bahrain Grand Prix is an evening race and starts as the sun goes down and the floodlights turn on around the circuit in the desert. The Bahrain GP starts on Sunday at 4 p.m. Dutch time. The race covers 57 laps of the 5.412 kilometer circuit, with a maximum race time of two hours. If nothing crazy happens, the race lasts about an hour and a half.
