What color do you want the Suzuki V-Strom 800 in?
The Suzuki V-Strom 800 is one of the brand’s most popular models. This is due to its affordability, fairly complete equipment and handlebar-friendly nature. You sit high but not too high and the bike is easy to turn when cornering. It is also great for longer (vacation) trips. Suzuki delivers everything you need. Think of a raised windshield, hand covers, side and top cases, navigation support and a center stand.
V-Strom 800DE higher
The V-Strom 800DE differs from the 800 in having a higher seat, longer suspension travel, a larger 21-inch front spoke wheel plus axially mounted calipers, making it just a little easier to steer when off-road. The sump guard and radiator guard offer resistance to thrown-up rocks.
Smooth parallel twin
The 776cc parallel-twin engine now meets the Euro5+ emissions standard. The block has double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Maximum power is 62 kW (84.3 hp) at 8,500 rpm, but there is also a 35 kW (47.5 hp) power version for A2 licence holders.
The new colors for the Suzuki V-Strom 800 are:
- Metallic Oort Gray with black lettering and small red accents
- Metallic Matt Black with yellow details
- Candy Daring Red
The new colors for the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE are:
- Champion Yellow, now combined with blue wire wheels
- Pearl Tech White, now with red details and blue wire wheels
- Glass Sparkle Black, now completely black with small red details and black wire wheels
Comprehensive electronics package
As standard, every V-Strom 800 is equipped with a comprehensive electronics package under the name SUZUKI Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) with: electronic ride-by-wire throttle control and three riding modes via the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS). The parallel-twin is always paired with a Bi-directional (up & down) quickshifter, which makes shifting fast and accurate.
Quickshifter and light clutch
The Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) with slipper function provides light clutch control and prevents rear wheel slipping or bouncing when downshifting. Thanks to the Suzuki Easy Start System, all it takes is the push of a button to start the engine. The Low RPM Assist feature slightly increases the engine’s RPM when releasing the clutch lever to drive off smoothly from a standstill, even on a slope.
With traction control
The V-Strom 800 is also equipped with the proven Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS). This system prevents rear wheel spin and provides more confidence when accelerating when there is less grip. The intervention speed of this system is adjustable through three modes. Each mode affects how much wheel spin the system allows. STCS can also be turned off completely.
Accessories for the V-Strom 800/DE.
Attractive accessory packages are also available for the Suzuki V-Strom 800 and V-Strom 800DE in the form of the Adventure Pack, Black Rhino Pack and Touring Pack. These packages offer accessories such as hand guards, a center stand, black aluminum side cases, handlebar heaters, crash bars and LED fog lights.
