Want to test the most powerful electric motor?
Up to 204 hp of engine power, 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. Not exactly numbers you’d expect to see on an electric motorcycle. In fact, the pulling power of 1,200 Nm! is astronomically high! No gasoline-powered motorcycle even comes close to the specifications of the electric Verge TS Ultra.
Range Verge TS
With such performance, the Verge’s driving range surely won’t be very high? Wrong, because you can drive 375 km with a full battery pack (20.2 kWh) and in Range driving mode. Charging up to 80 percent on a fast charger takes a maximum of 35 minutes. That, too, is pretty fast. By the way, the figures apply only to the top version Verge TS Ultra.
Electric motor in rear wheel
A special feature is the electric motor integrated into the rear wheel. How is that possible? Well so, there is a kind of “double” rim. The inner part is connected to the swingarm so it does not rotate. The outer part of the rim containing the tire does rotate. Between those two parts is the electric motor. So there is no driveshaft or chain. That saves wear and maintenance. In addition, the direct power transmission is very energy efficient.
Driving the electric Verge
Would you like to grasp the handlebars of the Verge in the gloves yourself? Then sign up for a test drive. Verge Motorcycles will start March 23 with a demo tour of Europe: the Ride Beyond tour. April 3, it will visit Rotterdam, and from April 7 to 10, the tour will touch down in Amsterdam. Then Verge Motorcycles will be present at the International Amsterdam Motor Show.
Book test drive Verge TS
Booking a test ride can be done on the Ride Beyond tour page on the Verge Motorcycles website. Did you then get excited after the ride? Then you can place an order for this electric superbike. It comes from 24,990 euros. That is the price of the base TS version with 115 hp and 700 Nm of torque and a driving range of 250 km. The TS Pro with 350 km range, 140 hp and 1,000 Nm is more expensive and the top version Verge TS Ultra with the highest performance comes to 50,000 euros.
