Volvo ES90 already included in online lineup
Volvo ES90: an electric premium sedan
Not much is known about the Volvo ES90 yet. Volvo does already release a teaser where we can see the electric premium sedan diagonally from below. In terms of design, the model obviously has great similarities with the new EX90 and EX30. So count on pixel lighting and a tidy domestic interior with hefty displays. The ES90 will be about five meters long.
SPA2 platform
The Volvo ES90 will stand on the SPA2 platform. On this platform, Volvo produces all-electric cars exclusively. In terms of technology, count on similarities with the Volvo EX90 as well. You can think of a Single Motor (205 kW (279 hp), 490 Nm), Twin Motor (300 kW (408 hp), 770 Nm) and Twin Performance (380 kW (517 hp), 910 Nm) and on battery packs of 104 to 111 kWh. A Volvo EX90 has a maximum range of 618 kilometers (WLTP). The Volvo ES90 – which has a much better streamline – will get significantly more driving range. More details at the March 2025 unveiling.

Other business
Behind the scenes, Volvo Cars is busy doing other things as well. For example, the brand recently sold its 30 percent stake in Lynk & Co to Zeekr. This transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.
Volvo Cars has been a minority shareholder in Lynk & Co since the company was founded in 2017. The divestment is related to a new phase of development for Lynk & Co, which includes a new ownership structure for the company. Volvo Cars will continue to focus on operational collaborations with Lynk & Co in selected markets where there is a strategic advantage for both companies.
